"Imprison Me" Prayer

Capture my Heart, Oh Lord!
Take me prisoner ~
Bind me to You forever!

Shackle me to You
Hand to hand,
So I cannot move
Unless you move with me ...
Foot to foot,
So I cannot walk
Unless You walk with me!

Bind Your Heart to my heart
So our Hearts
Cry forth as One,
Sing as One,
Beat Compassion and Mercy as One,
Love as One.

Fashion Your Mind to my mind,
So I cannot think
Without knowing You in the thoughts
And seeing You in the words and deeds
That spring forth from that One Mind.

Marry my Soul,
Oh, My Beloved!
So that we truly merge
As One ...

So I can no longer be
Who I was ~
But must Become
Who We Are
Together.

Imprison me!
Oh, My Lord and My Beloved!
Capture me and enslave me!
Never set me free again!

Knocking at The Kingdom Door

We come as little children
To the Kingdom of Heaven
Bearing our devotional toys as gifts,
Our many wishes as offerings ~

Knowing the Good King
Will pat us on the head
And kiss our cheeks,
And probably laugh inside
At our silly little trinkets and props
That we think are so holy.

But it matters not,
For at least we came,
And that made The King happy ~

Enough to spread a feast
And sound the trumpets,
Calling for the whole Kingdom
To STOP EVERYTHING!
And come play with us.

For what if we never come back?

What if this is the only time
We come knocking at The Kingdom Door ...
As little children?
