The Perfect Order

Moon on All Souls' Day (Nov. 2) 2011

There is a Perfect Order ~

The birds know it,
Following the pattern
With honed instincts and changing seasons
As Master Guides.

The Sun knows it,
Revolving to a path that cannot change
No matter how we might will it otherwise
When we wish for
More time.

The Moon knows it,
Beckoning the tides – and us –
To do its impeccable
Lunar bidding.

Deep within,
We know it, too.

For in the face of our biggest questions,
Our mightiest wonderings,
Our most dreadful doubts …

We look up to see
Perfection
In all Creation.

Even when we think we have found a flaw ~
We simply do not have the eyes to see
The Perfect Order.

  1. Beautifully written, Karen. Your lovely poem is an important reminder that all is well, whether it appears or feels that way or not.

"Even when we think we have found a flaw ~
We simply do not have the eyes to see
    The Perfect Order."

May we find within and develop through spiritual practice the eyes to see and the ears to hear that everything is, in fact, in perfect order.

    Thank you!
